Chrissy and Jerome

Back in July I traveled down to Greenwich, London to meet Chrissy and Jerome and take some pre-wedding shots for them. Despite some rather horrendous weather (it rained most of the day), we made the best of the few bright spells and made some great images around the town and Royal Observatory.

Like my wife and I, they’re an international couple, Chrissy from the US and Jerome from France.  They’ve chosen to have their wedding later this year at a beautiful chateau near Paris, not far from where Jerome grew up.  I’m absolutely delighted that they’ll be bringing me along for their big day for what will be my first gig on the continent! Hopefully, I’ll get to share a few shots here in a few weeks time.  In the meantime here’s a few of my favorites from their engagement session:

Anne and Axel

I know it’s been a while since my last post but this certainly doesn’t mean that I’ve been idol!  I’ve been working on a few big projects this summer including some corporate photography at one of this year’s largest sporting events (I think you know the one I mean:)).  However, I’ve still had time to work some great new couples.  I’m very happy to report that I’ll be traveling to Berlin next spring to shoot the wedding of Anne and Axel! Earlier this month I was able to spend a fun afternoon with the couple around Cambridge, mostly in the university’s beautiful botanical gardens and the colleges.  Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day.

Hello world!

After a short hiatus, David E Nelson Photography is back… well, almost anyway.  I’ve decided that it’s high time that my website got a complete overhaul from the ground up.  This in itself has been quite the learning curve, dealing with webhosts, getting used to WordPress and all that other blogging stuff.  So, I think it might take a little while before I’m fully up and running.  In the meantime, here are a few preview photos from some recent shoots I’ve done and with a bit of luck it’ll be business as usual before you know it!
